Who's your Sanctuary?

SANCTUARY is the word on my heart. He is our sanctuary but isn’t it good when we have that with a loved one, a friend, a family member. Right now there is so much chaos surrounding some of our homes, a sanctuary seems distant. That’s not as it should be. May the Lord have mercy and make us a sanctuary to someone and give us a journeymate to be that to us we pray. Jesus You are my SANCTUARY!
Picture the Lord singing this over you today:

Praying for all who need healing in any way today. We ask for a healing touch from Your hand and relief from pain, infections and diseases. I have some special loved ones on my heart today. Lord I can’t fix them but You can.

Praying for good results from tests for those in the hospital and that the doctors will have the wisdom of God as they work along with You, Jesus, to bring about healing. I'm adding prayers for single mothers and fathers. Lord please provide for their needs and wrap Your big Father arms around them and their children.

Fervently Praying for You

Show. Us. How. To. Live. Today.

I've got some things on my heart, and a great quote from the book, "Fervent" but first I’m praying for all who feel that aren't going to make it and need a journeymate today. I’m praying for people who need healing, for families that are falling apart at the seams, for the mentally ill and those who love them.

Yes, It starts with me, and you!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pslWA2VRmxg

About Fervent prayer:

"Because this is war. The fight of your life. A very real enemy has been strategizing and scheming against you, assaulting you, coming after your emotions, your mind, your man, your child, your future. In fact he's doing it right this second. Right where you're sitting. Right where you are.

But I say his reign of terror stops here. Stops now. He might keep coming, but he won't have victory anymore.

Because it all starts failing when we start praying." Priscilla Shirer

Let's WAR today!

From 2 Corinthians: "Remember, our Message is not about ourselves; we’re proclaiming Jesus Christ, the Master. All we are is messengers, errand runners from Jesus for you. It started when God said, “Light up the darkness!” and our lives filled up with light as we saw and understood God in the face of Christ, all bright and beautiful.

If you only look at us, you might well miss the brightness. We carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives. That’s to prevent anyone from confusing God’s incomparable power with us. As it is, there’s not much chance of that. You know for yourselves that we’re not much to look at. We’ve been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we’re not demoralized; we’re not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do; we’ve been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side; we’ve been thrown down, but we haven’t broken. What they did to Jesus, they do to us—trial and torture, mockery and murder; what Jesus did among them, he does in us—he lives! Our lives are at constant risk for Jesus’ sake, which makes Jesus’ life all the more evident in us. While we’re going through the worst, you’re getting in on the best!

We’re not keeping this quiet, not on your life. Just like the psalmist who wrote, “I believed it, so I said it,” we say what we believe. And what we believe is that the One who raised up the Master Jesus will just as certainly raise us up with you, alive. Every detail works to your advantage and to God’s glory: more and more grace, more and more people, more and more praise!

So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever."

The Message (MSG)

Friday, June 16, 2017

I’ve been praying about this for a while and really need to pull out of most groups that have added me. I have many needs in my family that come first, have very little time to try and write for publication (praying that the well hasn’t run dry) and just need to have a life. The last seventeen months have been very hard on my family and me personally. BUT I’M STILL STANDING! I give all credit to my Lord and Savior, JESUS CHRIST.

Our family stays in a state of transition, it seems. Pray for us, please.

I’m the type of person that takes prayer needs that I see online deep within my soul, I sometimes literally feel the pain of the one posting. My main ministry is through Somebody’s Mother Online Prayer Support Group that was started some years back because of the burdens I hear about daily.

Psalm 23  my version

The Lord is who leads me

I have no lack.

In grassy fields I lie down, at His request

By quiet waters near the ocean,

He allows me to go

Refreshed throughout

And holy, too

Because His name I claim

Dying, I will walk towards Him

No terror, I am Yours.

The discipline and crutch have made me secure.

A banquet before those who have hurt and despised me

Massaging fragrant oils on my head

Bubbles arise from the cup of the Lord and spill from my glass,

The best and

Undeserved goodness

Are with me

A am Yours,

At home at last,

Forevermore, with him.

There was something in the air and it wasn't a Phil Collins song

Yesterday it seemed like something was in the air, to twist and distort things between people. It seemed to be everywhere. I had to remember as one version says, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, our people may be hurting us, but it’s the enemy behind them, trying to destroy families. Ephesians 6:12 the Amplified Bible  reads “ For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.”

I reminded people as the Lord led, that we have to bless the Lord, think higher than our thoughts, think on good things or we will all go under.

A good slogan is expectations=resentments. I found this quote taken from an Al-anon site : "Any time I am in resentment, I am not taking care of myself. I am blaming someone else for something I need to do.

The higher the expectations, the lower the serenity. I try to keep my boundaries high, my expectations low, and my heart open."

So, it’s Thursday and a great day for Recovery in the State of Florida! Go to a gathering attend a small group, pray with a loved one, read something encouraging. Be gentle with people and may they give gentleness back to you. Smile at someone even if there are tears in your eyes.

Take care of your body and soul and you will have something to give to others the Lord puts in your path.

Praying especially with those who are struggling in their mind with wanting to use again or contemplating leaving a recovery path. Sometimes it just takes pressing through that wall! Put the beauty of music and worship into your day:
