A two milkshake week and Tenth Avenue North

It may have been a two-milkshake week. When the week has been especially hard, I sometime feel like I have to treat myself to a second Chick Fila chocolate milkshake. With Easter being a day where Amber ended up in the ER for about eight hours I had a feeling it might be one of those weeks. It did continue to be an up and down week although Easter and the Lord rising to new life should’ve been enough to get me through. Regardless of how our day starts off we can always end it with Jesus. Amber ended up being in the ER again yesterday for the third time; if she isn’t on the IV she is throwing up and nauseous. Finally they gave her a referral to a specialist so we pray that this is the very best for her in Jesus name.

Zechariah 2:5 "For I," says the Lord, "will be to her a wall of fire round about, and I will be the glory in the midst of her."

Got troubles? Remember these verses, Romans 8:28 and of course my new favorite: “He won't brush aside the bruised and the hurt and he won't disregard the small and insignificant, but he'll steadily and firmly set things right.” Isaiah 42:3

Many families and mothers especially will identify with the words to this song by Tenth Ave. North; they have done it again. Put the cries of many hearts to music:

I’m Tired, I’m worn
My heart is heavy
From the work it takes to keep on breathing
I’ve made mistakes
I’ve let my hope fail
My soul feels crushed by the weight of this world
And I know that you can give me rest
So I cry out with all that I have left

Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart that’s frail and torn
I wanna know a song can rise from the ashes of a broken life
And all that’s dead inside can be reborn
Cause I’m worn
I know I need to lift my eyes up
But I'm too weak
Life just won’t let up
And I know that you can give me rest
So I cry out with all that I have left

Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart that’s frail and torn
I wanna know a song can rise from the ashes of a broken life
And all that’s dead inside can be reborn
Cause I’m worn

My prayers are wearing thin
And I’m worn
Even before the day begins
I’m worn
I’ve lost my will to fight
I’m worn
Heaven come and flood my eyes

Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart that’s frail and torn
I wanna know a song can rise from the ashes of a broken life
And all that’s dead inside can be reborn
Cause all that’s dead inside will be reborn

Though I’m worn
Yeah I’m worn. (Song by Tenth Avenue North)

Guess I’ll be having another milkshake soon.
