   For some reason I always think of my firstborn daughter when I read this and pray a blessing upon her, that her life would have many blessings of love and gentleness. I dedicate this post to her today.
   The Creative Call: An Artist's Response to the Way of the Spirit by Janice Elsheimer is not only a beautiful resource for writers or artists of any kind, but I use it daily for the compilation of blessings and prayers in it. In The Answer to Arguments the word acceptance is the word for the day, today and every day

It amazes me when a word or phrase comes to me, and then I see just the same thing in morning devotions. Amazing again, as this very phrase had come to me, "You have seen that the hurt was not intentional but came within the principle of hurt people hurt people." as I pondered the pain in my life. I have never met or spoken to the Robinsons but sometimes it seems they have a window into my life. Another key thing is there are two destinies intertwined (“Your destinies in God are known in Hell. Satan has enjoyed sifting and is standing ready to do it again. But the Lord says, "Jesus has prayed that the hurting stop and that you use these occasions of hurt to point the way to help heal others.”) that the Lord wants to use in power and satan is so trying to destroy. All of my children and grandchildren have powerful destinies and that is why we continually seem to be under attack. Family is the heart of God and if destroyed the victory for the dark one will be major, but I stand on the fact that the battle is the Lord’s. His banner is truly love even when that love seems damaged. I may not be able to help or heal my own family but if our pain and trauma will help you on your journey, then my life in the Lord has not been in vain.

"What The Lord Is Saying Today," July 26, 2012. Someone very close has disrespected and dishonored you on two occasions recently. The hurt was raw and unredemptive. But you have survived the hurt as a stronger person in grace and forgiveness. You have seen that the hurt was not intentional but came within the principle of hurt people hurt people. Somehow that cycle of hurting out of hurt must cease. A battle has been raging in the pits of Hell over these incidents. Your destinies in God are known in Hell. July 26, 2012. Part of the reason for your success in many things you do is that you expect so much of yourself. Most times this is a good thing. But along with high expectation, extend grace to yourself. You are a person among people and people act like people. You are not God. You are a human being. Many times you are harder on yourself than I am. I know you are to be perfect as I am perfect. I have set a high goal. But it's a goal. You and I know sometimes you miss the mark. When you do miss it, don't spend time picking yourself apart. Confess and start again.

July 26, 2012. Embrace yourself as being someone like Barnabas. His name means "son of consolation". He was the one who befriended Paul when Paul was young and vouched for the sincere change which took place within Paul. He was the one who sold all he had and put all of it at the feet of the apostles. He was sent with confidence by the church in Jerusalem to Antioch because he was highly esteemed and respected. You are a person admired by others because of your inner character traits of excellence. Don't discount yourself. You have My charisma within you just like Barnabas did. Continue to stand up and be one who comes alongside.

I am thrilled to announce the marriage of Shiloh and Brian Gaffka

My daughter, Shiloh, and Brian Gaffka sat us down last Saturday and told us they were engaged as of that day and getting married on our anniversary. Our anniversary was on the following Thursday, July 19th,  giving us about five days to plan a wedding.  I knew it was going to go quick but this may be a world recordJ

They met with their pastors and they grilled them pretty well; evidently they both gave the right answers and got their blessing. Then they took a quick course in pre-marital counseling.

Can you spell STRESS? But it has given us a reason to smile amongst the tears and the pain of some other issues in our life. Wow! If I didn’t know that they have spent so much time working together over the last 3 years I would have more reservations but they both are over 21 and who can tell kids anything, anyway? I would not try to tell adult children how to live their lives in any manner.

They both believe that they go into marriage as a lifetime commitment. Many people in the Body of Christ have seen this union in the Spirit and are very excited about what the Lord will do with them as they leave to go to Rhema Bible College soon.

We pulled this wedding off with Brian’s mom, Ann, and the entire Gaffka family, it seems, being the main source of help as well as the Family Worship Center family. We give our utmost thanks to them and love the blessings that are still coming from this event.


I could not be happier about the man the Lord has chosen for my precious daughter!
It was a beautiful exchange of vows and I am blessed to have a wonderful, new son-in-law who I have adored from afar for a very long time:)

I have read this book several times and only wish I could get it and the teachings within it so into my soul that I would give a joy-light to everyone that I come into contact with. In my humanness, I falter, much to my dismay. I see it as therapy within a small, enjoyable book, and I will be putting some quotes from it below. At times I have thought I wish I could just eat this book, it is so good, with such wisdom and love. Also many times, I have felt that is the only way to get this knowledge deep within me to intertwine with my soul. I want to live this way!

Aryel update; “Where is the word of the Lord?

Aryel has Autoimmune hepatitis type 2.

Last night right before I went to Word Weavers I got a call from Ryan saying the doctor called. I thought it was interesting that this is common in little girls and she surely has the dark urine and some other symptoms.

Another website says: In patients who have an autoimmune disease, the immune system can't tell the difference between healthy body tissue and harmful, outside substances. The result is an immune response that destroys normal body tissues. It sounds like it will be treated with autoimmune steroids and we may be able to follow up with the local doctor.

save me and I will be saved,for you are the one I praise. They keep saying to me,“Where is the word of the Lord? Let it now be fulfilled!” Jeremiah 17:14-15 My prayer for today: Lord, there are so many areas of my life that have become unmanageable. Please help me and give me good direction. I am Yours, dear Lord and I really only want to do Your will. Life is horrendous at times as we feel the pain of those we love, emotional pain, physical pain, mental anguish. Yet we do not give up on our Hope who is named Jesus. When the hurt is so large say His name, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! With my last breath I will continue to praise You for being the One. The true lover of my soul.

Life got in the way of blogging, but I'm back

We started a journey about a month ago when my 3-year-old granddaughter, Aryel turned a strong yellow color even in the whites of her eyes.  The doctor sent us to the hospital immediately and we had many days of bloodwork. This eventually sent her into the hospital on this last Sunday to have a liver biopsy on Monday. The doctor says there are too many unexplained questions about her condition but it could've been something she was born with and just now showing up. Usually things like this are an infection, it seems.

This week I really didn’t want to face the  days, seeing Aryel with the little tubes to have the IV and all, but I know the Lord brought us to it and will bring us through it.

We felt your prayers from so many of you and especially WAPN Prayerline; I’ve been a big fan of theirs for some years. We are home from Jacksonville as of yesterday afternoon. It was a bit traumatic at times, we don't have any answers right now, but she did well with the biopsy and needs to try to rest a few days. There were some really hard times with her blood clotting because of the vitamin K they put her on, so then it was hard to get blood out for the tests. One time was so bad both Amber and I nearly passed out as it was so horrible to watch. They actually brought in a trauma team to help. Praying for good results; she may have to have more bloodwork and we may have to go back to Jacksonville one day next week, but we are happy to be home:) She is unstoppable and back to playing like the little girl that she is, although she is supposed to be taking it easy.

I can't tell you how happy I am to be sleeping at home instead of camping out in the bed next to Aryel at the hospital. She will be healed in the mighty name of Jesus!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCg3HU1jhVA&feature=related

I am believing that the prayers of so many have already started the healing process and that only good things are ahead for little Aryel Genevieve Cameron.

In my quiet time I was thinking about this song, asking the Lord to "fix me" and all those I love who need His love, care and help. And then I remembered I myself am powerless, yet He is powerful! I can't fix anyone, but I can pray and love.

Perhaps my love may not come in the way that you want it, maybe it bring with it personal boundaries that I feel at this time I need to be able to stand or cope with this dilemma called "life."
Maybe I will disappoint some of you, maybe I will amaze you, but I will try to be honest and live out my faith in Jesus my helper, comforter and true lover as best as I can. Lord have mercy and fix us all! I believe You will and I yield to your timing as hard as it is to do that.

Easy to Pray For

Todays 6/22 devotional from Love is a Verb was written by me. Here is my unedited version:

Easy to Pray For

Do you have those on your prayer list that you would say are easy to pray for? You love these people so much and the prayers just flow from your mouth to God’s ears with ease. You pray for their health, spirit, family, needs and everything that concerns them and it never occurred to you, that these people are easy to pray for. Maybe because you love them so deeply words come easily.

Then there are others that you start praying for and you struggle. It is hard. Maybe they are people that have hurt someone you love. Maybe they are rude and unkind, perhaps even abusive. The prayer doesn’t come easily. It feels like it is stuck in your throat. The tears fall; you finally get the words out. Bless this one and may Your Spirit guide and change them. Thy will be done in their life. Do what's best— as above, so below.

You find you didn’t really want to pray for them but pray you must. Why? Because prayer is the only offering you have for this situation. Pray, pray and pray some more! Then leave the results to God.

Prayer: Lord, help us to truly love those that are hard to pray for. We know that You are in charge of their lives and can turn them into people who are easy to pray for.

Thought for the Day: Those who are hardest to pray for need our prayers more than those easy to pray for.

Prayer Focus: Loving and praying for the unlovable.

   Our Father in heaven,
   Reveal who you are.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I relate to the one by Bev, today. It is like the Lord gives her a movie of my life, sometimes. Oh, the awesome Love of the Lord to see one, such as me. We also need to heed the verse in Ezekiel that an intercessor will be found standing in the gap, watching on the walls that the whole land not be destroyed. For the land of our families, friends and nation Lord we ask for mercy for this day!
June 21 2012. You are strong in the Lord whether you always feel like it or not. He is always with you because He is within you constantly being Himself. Every morning of your life He gives you joy of life to receive or not to receive. Make the choice now to greatly rejoice before Him. It will daily change your life for the better. You remember all the good things of the Lord. Who could be sad? Think of the times He has answered your prayers and requests of Him. Has He not healed? Has He not saved you? Has He not given you your heart's desire? Meditate on these things and be glad. Spin and twirl before Him in worship from your heart.

June 21, 2012. It's hurting you to watch someone who is hurting. They don't know you are watching and you don't want to make it any worse by them worrying about you hurting for them. All you can do is sit back, watch and pray. You wish you could do more. Don't minimize what you are doing. Prayer is what they need, and they also need to know that you think they are handling what they are going through with strength and dignity. Prayer will help usher in good overcoming thoughts and maintain a hedge that will ward off the enemy from attacking with bad defeating thoughts. I know you are standing in the gap.

Ezekiel 22:30 (NLT) "I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn't have to destroy the land, but I found no one." Bev Robinson

June 21, 2012. A change of heart can be challenging. I can talk of repentance, but acquiring godly sorrow can be a whole different matter. My words of "I'm sorry," roll so easily off my tongue. In reality, talk is cheap. I've tried again and again to change the wickedness within myself, but I keep returning to the same old patterns. Without condemnation the Lord says, "Turn and be at peace with the change which only I can sustain. Let your sorrow be accomplished without naivety. Find My rest in the stillness of My presence. Salvation comes in many forms. Familiarize yourself with the type of sorrow only I can deliver. Trust Me.

A Father’s Day Dream

I can’t believe that I got so busy posting on other sites I forgot to post this here yesterday. It was an awesome dream and words by John Brewer of Word Weavers: A Father’s Day Dream

About 5:30 this morning, east coast time, I awoke from a dream. In this dream, I was one of several people who had come up on stage to speak words of encouragement over a young mans life. When it was my turn to speak, I felt the power and presence of God moving through my heart and I could clearly see Gods intentionality for this young man. As I began to direct my words to the young man, I heard God calling him, wooing him, encouraging him, letting him know that God was with him and that Gods word would be alive in him not only to raise him up to be the man God knew him to be and called him to be but also to be an encouragement and instrument of Gods love and hope to the world around him. God was going to make His word alive in this young mans heart and from there, alive to those he shared Gods word with. As I was speaking over this young man, I woke up out of a dead sleep and deep in this dream state, verbally speaking out loud and still directing Gods encouragement to the young man of my dream. 

Immediately, I recognized that there was more going on here than just a dream. I continued to speak in my awakened state to the young man and wrapped it up in prayer for him. At rest in my bed, I could not sleep and so I prayed not only for the young man but also for the other youth who were in attendance with him. As I prayed I was asking God what the significance of this dream was. I strongly felt that God was calling to a new generation, that He was letting His presence be known, that He was instilling hope for the present and for the future, that He was awakening a new generation to His word and to His presence and to His purpose. Somewhere, I believe that the dream I had was directed specifically to a young man and to those near to him but more, I sense that God is moving through the world to touch lives in a new and powerful way and is doing it through our children. As it is now Fathers Day, I urge all fathers and mothers, all adults in any sphere of influence over the lives of the young charges that God has placed in your care, to begin anew to speak into the lives of these young people and share the love and the hope and the wonder of God with them. Share with them the testimony of your life and what God has meant to you. Help birth the amazing and vibrant life of the word of God in their hearts and then watch as God fulfills His purposes through them. It is now almost 6:30. Some extra thoughts from me

I think it goes well with the events of churches watching the movie Courageous. FWC had an event for the whole weekend centered on this movie and I managed to get one of my son-in-laws to watch it here at home. I hope that the seeds in that movie about fatherhood will somehow be sown in his life .I recommend it for men but women love it, too.

PS My husband took the Courageous pledge at Family Worship Center yesterday; a gift to me and our family that was pure grace from the Lord. I didn't beg, prod or manipulate to get it, so that is why it was a gift to me:)
